The costs for CESL’s intensive English language program, the third oldest in the country, are quite affordable.

Refunds will only be given if a student OFFICIALLY withdraws from CESL by the second Friday of the term. To officially withdraw a student must meet with their CESL advisor. If a student officially withdraws, he/she may receive a refund of tuition and activities fees ONLY. All other fees are non-refundable.

**The application fee is the final step toward admission to our program. CESL reserves the right to charge certain applicants a non-refundable initial deposit, in addition to the application fee. This fee will be collected at the time the application is approved, before the I-20 is mailed out. Once the applicant is admitted and registers for their initial CESL term, the entire deposit will be credited towards the cost of tuition. Applicants are cautioned not to send any funds until they are asked to do so.
***If you place below our lowest level (GE 1) and need additional tutoring, CESL will provide you with an extra five hours of one-on-one tutoring from an expert teacher each week. There is an additional $750 tuition fee for this service.
****Any student who does not come to CESL by the program start date will be subject to a $250 late student arrival fee to cover the costs of additional testing and orientation sessions.
*****Leases are usually written for a full semester. If you live in a residence hall you should expect to pay approximately $5,100 per semester. If you live in off-campus housing you should expect to pay anywhere from $1,600 - $2,400 per semester.
